Bacon Cream Cheese Puffs
Here are two recipes great for up and coming bakers who are in the mood to make something on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Stave off their boredom and get them making these two recipes, Bacon Cream Cheese Puffs PLUS Frosted Candy Corn Sugar Cookies, and set your feet up on the sofa for the afternoon. The first recipe makes yummy and warm bacon puffs that you will definitely want some of, and the second makes very sweet cookies out of a commercial mix that the kids, especially the littlest ones, will want to help your baker decorate. Let them have at it, and worry about the clean up later.
The first recipe is super easy. It starts with commercial dough that you roll out. The bacon is cooked and blended with cream cheese and other seasonings then simply spread over the rolled out dough. Cut the dough in to small bits, put them on a pan, and let them bake. You could even serve these with a dip, perhaps something made with sour cream and left over cream cheese, or even a warm dip like Alfredo sauce or tomato sauce. You can decide. The next recipe starts with the cookies out of a box. A brand name is given, but almost any plain cookie would work well here. Just make them up according to the directions given on the package, then let the kids have at it. And it provides lots of fun for the kids, which is great on those days when they are bored and you want something for them to do. Here, the cookies are lined up and the kids make decorations that make the cookies look like candy corn by using dyed ready made icing. What a lot of fun the little ones will have, and does it matter what they look like?
These are two easy recipes that your young bakers and cooks can try their hand at whenever they feel the urge. Enjoy.Find out how to make this recipe and others at the website, This Silly Girl's Kitchen, by following the link below.
