Caramel Apple Cheesecake Crumble Bars

Caramel Apple Cheesecake Crumble Bars combine plenty of fun flavors including caramel, apples, cheese cake and a bit of a crunchy crumble in the mixture to create a dish that no one at your dinner table will refuse! This dish is terrific, and even has some good nutrition in it. Still, it is not the nutrition that will have you and the kids coming back for seconds. The five layers will keep you munching and crunching through at least a couple of pieces.

Like so many recipes that have a cookie type of base, this one requires pre-cooking before the other layers are piled on top. Once done, though, the cheesy layer, then lots of peeled apples, and finally the crumble, get loaded on to this sweet and moist dessert. It takes a bit of time to bake, so watch the middle and be sure the whole thing is cooked before you pull it out of the oven. The recipe recommends letting this cool for several hours before cutting it and serving it, but my guess is you will have to fight off the troops as the scent of the apples, cheesecake, spicing and streusel start wafting through the house. Plan on serving this dish warm, with the salted caramel for fabulous flavor and even a scoop of ice cream (so no one burns their mouth when you serve it still warm from the oven).

Enjoy this lovely, multi-layered dessert that blends a cookie base, creamy middle, healthy apples (and for this recipe, do peel the apples) and a crunchy streusel. This dessert packs a lot of big flavor culminating in the salted caramel sauce that you can also make from scratch (and you should when you have made something like this).
