The Canoe Bay ESCAPE Village is the first large-scale vacation Tiny Home Village in the Midwest. This tiny house village is located in northwest Wisconsin on over one hundred acres of rolling mixed hardwood forests, with multiple wetlands full of wildlife and two private lakes located on the property, Mallard Lake and Lost Lake. The beautiful natural setting is spectacular with dramatic changes in elevation. The site for each of the tiny house units are carefully selected to help enhance the setting and to provide maximum enjoyment. Many of the tiny house sites have lake views or wetland views. Utilities are in place along with roads for easy access to the sites. The Village is the perfect place for a unique and relaxing getaway and to experience the small house living phenomena.

One of the tiny houses on wheels that you might consider is the Traveler XL. This tiny house on wheels is 30 feet long (35 feet including the hitch), by 8.5 feet wide and 13.5 feet high. The Travler XL is 344 square feet in size, with 255 square feet on the first floor and 89 square feet in loft. The price of the Travler XL starts at $78,500. This custom ESCAPE steel trailer is a 7,000 pound with HD tandem axles, ten ply radial tires, electric brakes, and a Hopkins break-away safety system. The tiny house on wheels has easy use leveling jacks, steel, and rodent resistant belly. The exterior is prefinished cedar lap siding and trims with steel accents and protective panels. There is a full light 36-inch glass entry door. Low-E windows, most of which can open. Options include all cedar exterior. The interior is prefinished pine tongue and groove walls and pine trim. The tiny house on wheels has laminate flooring, with the option of hardwood, there is a pine solid core bathroom door, and optional frosted pine full light door. The insulation is closed cell foam using recycled products, with a 7.4 R-value per inch. The average R values are R22 walls, R30 floor, and R40 ceiling. There is climate control options fireplace with thermostat, a split system air conditioning with heat pump, LP furnace or baseboard heat. There are also solar power and off-grid features available.

There is a private queen sized bedroom on the first floor with LED lighting, a nightstand, storage closet, and large, under bed storage drawer. The bedroom also has optional flat screen television, multiple opening windows. The Traveler XL also has upper sleeping lofts or attic and optional fold-flat couch in the living room. The living room has an optional fold-flat couch, LED lighting, and optional flat screen television. In the kitchen, there is a full size or RV style LP range, venting M/W, a full-size refrigerator, optional ice maker and stainless upgrade. The kitchen also has extensive maple cabinetry, a stainless sink, designer faucet, and butcher block kitchen table.
