Always invest in either a vanilla bean paste, vanilla beans or just a real vanilla extract that is free of additives like corn syrup, sugar syrup, artificial colors etc. Rodelle or Neilsen-Massey are the two premium vanilla extract brands that will be just the thing your baked goods will need. If you like the cookies to be a bit crunchy, you may have to bake them a little longer than 12 minutes and wait until they turn golden brown. Make sure to place the dough 2 inches apart on the baking sheet before you transfer them to the oven, as the dough tends to expand a tiny bit.
