Creamy Tiramisu Cheesecake
This is a wonderful recipe, with very good ingredients that will make you a fabulous creamy tiramisu cheesecake you can serve on every and any occasion you want. It is not difficult to make (cheesecakes are surprisingly easy to make well) although it does have a few ingredients that you will likely have to pick up in order to make this dessert. Do it. It is well worth it. Nothing beats the flavor of a homemade cake, where every step (or as many as possible) is worked from scratch. Here, real cream, liquor soaked cookies for the base, and other special steps will make this cake a real delight.
Cheesecake is an ancient dessert that may have originated in Greece, then migrated in to Roman culture. From there, it has spread all over the world, although other cultures also have made their own versions of this type of cheese dessert without any help from the Romans! It is a wonderful dessert. This particular recipe calls for castor sugar. That is fine, but not necessary. Regular sugar will work as well. Just be sure to blend it really well into the other ingredients. Do not substitute icing sugar. That is an entirely different kind of sugar. Just use your regular white sugar from your kitchen canister.
Cheesecake is a simple dessert that can even double for breakfast. It is usually quite low in sugar, loaded with cheese and so good carbohydrates, plenty of protein, and lots of important calcium, and is often served with fresh fruit. What a great way to start your day. Think outside the box a bit and consider cheesecake for breakfast, too (but maybe not this one; it is really intended as a show stopping dessert at the dinner table).
