Crispy Garlic Chicken and Spinach Egg Rolls
Bite-sized hors d’oeuvres, like this crispy garlic chicken and spinach egg rolls recipe, are excellent for when you have a crowd because they are packed with delicious flavours everyone loves. The best recipes this egg roll recipe could be compared to are spanakopita and traditional egg roll recipes. Like spanakopita recipes, these pastries are filled with fresh spinach, but unlike those spinach and feta filled parcels, these egg rolls are wrapped in egg roll wrappers rather than phyllo. This chicken egg roll recipe is the perfect combination of garlicky chicken, spinach, and cheese which everyone from kids to adults will be devouring them one-by-one.
Easy egg roll recipes are perfect for when you want to entertain guests, and this chicken and spinach version makes twenty egg rolls. This big batch recipe may seem tedious to assemble and fry all at once, however, so if you don’t want to do everything the day of your event, these spring rolls stay in the refrigerator once assembled, and will remain fresh until the next day when you want to fry them. Perhaps you don’t have an occasion to serve this egg roll recipe at, but need friday night dinner ideas that everyone will enjoy. This garlic chicken egg roll recipe would be delicious as a take on other garlic chicken recipes for a Friday night or weekend dinner. Just serve them with a few salads for a complete meal and a night of family fun, and if you are lucky, you can have leftovers for the next day.
Fried food leftovers don’t usually retain their crispiness and refrying them can dry them out so that they become unappealing, but they don’t have to go to waste. Instead, lay the pre-fried egg rolls on a foil-lined baking sheet and gently re-warm in the oven. By warming your egg roll recipe in an oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the pastries will crisp up without drying out or becoming soggy. If you decide to prepare these for a party, it will be a challenge to fry all the rolls at once and have them all be piping hot from the fryer. A good way to make sure your guests are getting this chicken recipe at its best would be to serve each batch as soon as it is fried and refill as the evening goes on. You may not want to stand over the fryer all night, however, so you can also fry everything just before the event and hold them for up to an hour in a warming oven, around 250 degrees Fahrenheit. The rolls won’t be as crisp as out of the fryer, but they will still retain some of their texture and be incredibly delicious. However you prepare these, and wherever you decide to serve this pastry recipe, it will be a hit along with the sweet and tangy roasted red pepper sauce recipe.
