It's great that it's interchangeable depending on what you have on hand, so you don't have to run out and get anything from the store meaning you get to spend more time with your loved ones. You can either make your meatballs from scratch or use premade ones, whichever you prefer or whichever you have on hand. You can use either beef, pork, chicken or turkey meat in your meatballs too or a mixture of a couple of the meats. Whenever you're using meat of any kind, always try and get organic meat or animal products from a pasture-raised source. This means you'll get healthier meat without all of the extra fat and hormones that can usually be in meat that comes from factory farms.

Much like buying organic fruits and vegetables the organic pasture-raised meat with no added chemicals or antibiotics will also taste better than the conventional meat products too. You can also try checking your local butcher for meat from local farmers. Adding in some bread crumbs to the meat mixture along with an egg will help to bind the ingredients together while adding some moisture and texture. You don't have to add much spice to your meatballs as you'll be putting a very flavourful sauce on them to cook them in. This is just one of those easy crock pot meals that takes literally no time to prepare and then only 4 hours to make. You just need 5 minutes to put everything in the crock pot, longer if you're making your own meatballs from scratch though. It would be a great crock pot meal to make in the afternoon while everyone is at work or at school to have ready and waiting to be served up and eaten at the end of the day. All you need is some butter, honey, Siracha hot sauce or any other type of hot sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, ground ginger, garlic and your meatballs.

You could serve these meatballs over rice with a nice fresh green salad for fibre and added nutrients, or you could serve it with some steamed vegetables for a warmer meal. If you're serving these meatballs as an appetizer, just place them on a serving plate and insert some fancy toothpicks in them so people can pick them up and eat them easily. If you're going to make them for an appetizer or a party, you may want to double the recipe because they will fly off the plate people will love them so much. You can always freeze leftovers too.
