If you are vegan there are some ways to modify this recipe so it doesn't include any animal products. There are no eggs in this recipe, so you don't have to worry about substituting them, but there is some milk and butter. The butter can be replaced with coconut oil or vegan buttery spread or vegan shortening and it should act the similarly as dairy butter.
