Easy Cinnamon Roll Cake

There's nothing like a fresh cinnamon roll straight out of the oven. This Easy Cinnamon Roll Cake recipe is just like a regular cinnamon roll recipe but baked as a cake. The scent of cinnamon in anything smells so delicious, its just one of those really comforting scents that makes people feel at home. You can purchase cinnamon rolls at a special bakery or even at the grocery store, you can even but pre made dough for them in the refrigerated section, but there is something about making them fresh at home in your own kitchen that is so awesome. Cinnamon rolls are originally a Swedish recipe by origin and they have been around for hundreds of years. They are basically made from a bread dough recipe, that is sweetened and then rolled up with a cinnamon sugar spread. Many people leave them just as is when they come out of the oven, and others add a frosting on top of their cinnamon rolls. Sometimes it is just a simple frosting recipe made with powdered sugar and milk, other times it is a decadent cream cheese frosting with sugar in it. Either one is delicious when paired with a nice fresh cinnamon roll.

This easy and delicious dessert recipe is made with a handful of simple ingredients that you an find in your local grocery store. First off you are going to need a boxed yellow cake mix which makes the recipe even easier. So if you are rushed for time, then this cake mix will certainly help to make things go faster. If you want to use your own yellow cake mix recipe then by all means use your own cake recipes from scratch for this cinnamon roll cake. Either way will work just fine. You then make a simple mixture of cinnamon and sugar much like you would for normal cinnamon rolls. But then you add it into the cake batter that has already been poured into the baking pan. The cinnamon and sugar mixture is swirled around effortlessly to make little ribbons of cinnamon sweetness throughout the cake.

The cake bakes in the oven and once it is out and cooled the icing gets drizzled on top. This is just your typical glaze recipe that would go well with any cake recipes and it is made with powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
