Easy Pecan Pie Cheesecake
Can there ever be just another pecan pie cheesecake recipe? This combination of flavors is just so extraordinary and indulgent, and always makes a big impression when you bring it to the table. The multiple layers of pecan pie and then cheese cake never fail to impress. And now you can make it with this easy to follow series of instructions. It takes time to essentially make two different recipes and then put them together, but this decadent dessert is worth the effort. Make if for some special event, like an anniversary, birthday or other celebration, and this dessert will be asked for again and again.
This dessert does have a lot of sugar. But, there are things that will help slow down the absorption of sugar in to the body, and so possibly help to slow that sugar rush or sugar spike that can happen when we over indulge like this. First, of course, be sure you eat a good meal before you dig in to the dessert. That might be the best start to this dessert. That will also help you to eat less of it. Second, this dish does contain nuts and cheese, both which help to slow the absorption of the sugar and slow sugar uptake in to the blood stream. Third, cut smaller pieces, so at least less sugar is being ingested, and if every one just keeps insisting on more (and more and more) try to space the dessert pieces apart, to give the body a break from all that sugar. These steps might help to slow the sugar rush, and give people a minute’s breathing time between gobbling this fabulous dish up.
Be sure to check out the photos for this beautiful and tall pie pecan pie cheese cake from The Lady Behind The Curtain site. It is quite the sight to behold. The topping is from dulce de leche, a French sauce also found in other cultures that is made from milk and sugar (and is fabulous). So try this recipe soon. You may be making it again and again.
