Easy Spinach Dip Bread Bowl

This is a well known Spinach Dip Bread Bowl Recipe that almost always seems to turn up at community dinners or other friendly gatherings. It is a pretty blend of spinach and cream cheese, sour cream, yogurt (any, all of some of these ingredients can be used in this dish) blended with mayonnaise. Some times, this recipe is made using non fat versions of any or all of these ingredients, but I am not sure why. Generally, this dip is just a part of any larger dinner or buffet, and why take the flavor (that is, the fat) out of the recipe?

This is about as easy to make as it could get. So get the kids to do it for you while you take a long bath. The various ingredients are just blended together and then folded in to a pre bought circular loaf of bread that you cut out. As far as nutrition is concerned, spinach is a great vegetable that does not lose too much of its food value in being frozen. Spinach can help us to fight certain cancer. There are certain unique anti-cancer carotenoids, and lots of them, in spinach. As well there is evidence that spinach may protect against prostate cancer. Spinach also protects the digestive tract. Finally, spinach is loaded with vitamins K and A, manganese, iron and many other vitamins and minerals. Any time you can your kids to eat spinach, it is a great idea to do so.

This dish also has plenty of protein in the cream cheese if you add it or the Greek yogurt if that is what you use. Greek yogurt is characterized by a higher protein content in the dairy product. So there is plenty of good stuff in this decadent recipe, and no real reason to go the diet route when you make this fresh dip for your next party or outing. Enjoy this recipe soon.
