Try out this Fruity Roll-Ups recipe for a fun dessert. This recipe is a fun way to make fruit roll-ups at home. You can purchase Fruit Roll-Ups and Froot By the Foot at grocery stores in the snack isle. These treats have been very popular to put into kids lunches since they came out in the early 90s. The Fruit Roll-Up consisted of a flattened piece of fruit puree mixed with other ingredients attached to a piece of parchment paper. The Fruit By the Foot rolls came in similar packaging, but instead of being a small sheet, they are a long strip attached to parchment paper and then rolled up into a cute little roll and put into packaging. The Fruit By the Foot snacks are similar to this Fruity Roll Up recipe. The sweet snacks come in various colors and flavors like strawberry, grape, tropical and berry. Sometimes they would even mix the flavors together, and now they even do tie dye versions of Fruit Roll-Ups. These fruit snacks although they contained some fruit, are not the most nutritious item to eat, though. Most of them contain a fruit puree that is from concentrate, as well as artificial dyes and flavors. They are very high in sugar as well. So these types of snacks should be reserved for a special treat and eaten in moderation.

The fruity jello rollups combine jello with fruit flavoring and marshmallows to create a simple and yummy dessert. It would be fun to try making them in a bunch of different flavors of mellow. There are so many different kinds of jello with fruit flavors like grape, strawberry, peach, lime, cherry, orange, and berry flavors as well. It is cool to see how the marshmallow layer fits into the recipe and how there ends up being a marshmallow layer, so you have two tones of the color of jello you used. When they are all rolled up, they look so pretty. It would be so fun to try and make a rainbow version of this recipe. It might take some extra work, but it would be totally worth it. These fruity roll-ups would be awesome for kids to have like a fun little treat once in a while and you made them at home, so you know what goes into them as well.

There are also great natural alternatives and real fruit roll ups. The all natural and organic approach to these kinds of recipes could include berries or apricots; maybe even fruit mixes like pineapple and banana or orange and peach. The fruit can be dehydrated in a dehydrator which slowly takes the moisture out of fruit and doesn't remove any of the nutrients. The fruit puree would be spread out in a thin layer and put into the dehydrator for a while and out would come your very own all natural fruit snacks. Some people call it fruit leather or fruit paper. Thank you to the Joy of Jello website for their simple dessert recipes, check it out and try it for yourself.***
