Who doesn't love a good old fashioned Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sandwich? Why not try this Grilled BLT Wedge Salad With Blue Cheese Dressing this summer? This is a great version of an all time favourite, the BLT, but with a twist! BLT sandwiches have been around for a long time, and became a variation of the club sandwich without the turkey meat on it. In 1903 the club sandwich made it's debut in the Good HouseKeeping Everyday Cook Book. But the BLT itself didn't become popular until after World War II, since grocery stores were becoming more populate and people had all of the ingredients right at their fingertips. It made for a very easy and simple sandwich that required only 4 or 5 ingredients in total, including the bread and the mayonnaise. Great for people watching their budgets after the war.
