Did you ever think that a meal could get better or more comforting than macaroni and cheese? Well here it is, a Grilled Mac N Cheese Sandwich that might provide more filling yumminess than even plain macaroni and cheese. It might be hard to believe, and you will have to have your family decide, but putting macaroni and cheese in to a sandwich and then grilling it sounds like I have died and gone to heaven, personally. But that is just me. You try it and see what you and your family think of this great twist on an old favorite.

This dish is, of course, easy to make. Well, perhaps. It does require left over macaroni and cheese, a phenomenon never witnessed in my house. Of course, you could always plan for it. On the other hand, in my house, people always seem to rise to the occasion to eat however much macaroni and cheese gets made. Perhaps you will have to hide some of it. Or, make the macaroni and cheese during the day, let it cool, and then fridge it. That night, you can pull it out and make the sandwiches.

This is also a great way to get more out of meal. Kids are always starving, even right after they eat. This method, serving the macaroni and cheese on bread, puts a few extra calories in their mouths, which may keep the kids fuller, longer. (Well, we can always hope.) This is a meal that your family will love. Serve the sandwiches with soup or salad or just plain depending on the time of year, and how hungry every one is.
