There are some foods that can be good for any meal and these Ham and Cheese Potato Pancakes might just be one of those foods! This great recipe for potato pancakes was found over at the food blog, Buns In My Oven, who has a lot of great family recipes that everyone should be able to agree on! The author actually wrote a whole book on different pancake recipes! And has it over at her website that this article will link you to, so be sure to check it out! There are so many different ways to do pancakes, you can do them sweet, with the berries or bananas and chocolate with the whipped cream and syrup, or, you could do them nice and savoury, like these awesome savoury ham and cheese potato pancakes!

I prefer the savoury kind of pancake right now, I find that the sugar in the sweet ones is awesome at first, and I love how they taste, but then I just have a crazy sugar crash after! Which is no fun at all! So these are wonderful to make for any meal, including breakfast, because they would be a great sustaining meal throughout the day! The wonderful thing is, that you can use ingredients from leftover meals to make these little savoury pancake bites, so there is no reason to make up new ingredients to make them with!

You use left over mashed potatoes, ham and cheese and thats about it! This would be perfect to make the day after an Easter dinner, if you do a ham and some mashed potatoes. Potato pancakes are otherwise known as latkes, and have been a very affordable staple for people for centuries! Potatoes are very easy to grow, so they are a very affordable thing to make!
