We don’t know about you, but Bisquick has saved the day on many occasions in our household! It’s just so quick and easy. But is it really that healthy? Probably not! That’s why we love this amazing recipe for Homemade Bisquick so much. With just a few simple ingredients, we can make our own healthy version of Bisquick that is just as easy to work with.
This recipe will only take you a few minutes to blend together, and it’s a lot less expensive than buying Bisquick at the store! This homemade version will taste great, and won’t have all of the preservatives and additives that commercial Bisquick has.
What’s more, you can make it even healthier! How? Well, for starters, you can use organic unbleached or whole wheat flour instead of white flour, and organic lard instead of regular lard. And, if you’re wheat sensitive and prefer to go gluten free, then you can use brown rice flour, amaranth flour, millet flour, or even potato flour. For more wheat flour substitutes, just search the web! There are lots available these days, thank goodness.
And what can you make with your homemade Bisquick? Everything that you made with Bisquick, including biscuits, rolls, cookie dough, waffles, pancakes, scones, and even pan gravy!
