If you are looking for the best way to clean an oven naturally, then try out this tutorial for How to Clean Your Oven WITHOUT the Self Cleaner. The oven can sometimes go unnoticed in the kitchen. People don't really see the inside of their oven until they open it to cook something. But there are times when you open your oven and see the mess inside of it. Burned on food that has melted and dripped onto the bottom of the oven or spattered onto the walls of the oven looks pretty unsightly and unappetizing. But like most people, we just close the door and hide the mess until the next time we use it and remember the nasty mess it is inside. Usually people will use harsh chemical cleaners to get the job done. Oven spray that is highly toxic is used to spray the inside of the oven and left over night so it can work its magic. But you have to think of all the chemicals in this spray and how they off gas into the food you cook inside the oven. The chemicals are also not good for you or your family to breathe in, nor are they good for the environment. Then, there is the self cleaning option on most newer ovens. The self cleaning cycle on an oven sets the oven at a high enough heat to basically burn off all of the burned on gunk. The thing about cleaning your oven this way is that it uses a lot of energy because the cycle takes a long time. It is also not a great idea to do this cycle in the summer time either and heat up the house in the process when you are trying to stay cool.

When it comes to cleaning your oven without the self cleaning option, there are plenty of different ways you can go about it. Many people may think that chemical free oven cleaning will not be as effective as cleaning your oven with chemical cleaners. But this is not true. Cleaning your oven with natural products will not only be very effective in getting your oven sparkling clean, it will also spare you from the chemical cocktail that is included in most store bought oven cleaners. The best way to clean an oven with natural cleaners is to use some baking soda and vinegar. We all know the experiment where you add baking soda and vinegar together and watch it fizz. Well, you mix these two substances together to create a fizzy concoction that goes to work breaking down all of the hardened on food. The substance is left in a closed oven for four hours or more, even over night if you like, to work its magic. Once it has sat for a sufficient amount of time, you can begin scrubbing and pulling all of the debris out of the oven. You may want to have several cloths around for this job or some biodegradable, recycled paper towel. You can also use a razor to scrape off any stuff that is too hardened on, but be sure to do it gently so you don't scratch the enamel on your oven.

So there you have it, a safe, non toxic and very effective way yo clean out your oven. You can also spread this mixture on the oven door to get it nice and clean, and you can use it on the top of your cooking range as well. To avoid having to clean the bottom of the oven you can add some aluminium foil to the bottom of the oven and change it regularly. Check out this great tutorial for the best way to clean an oven.*
