Makes 12 pops
This is a printable recipe.
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, chopped into pieces
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped into small pieces
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ounces dark Callebaut chocolate (or chocolate chips)
1/2 cup Skor pieces
Pop baking pan
12 pop sticks*Optional
Grease your pop pan.
In a small bowl, stir the salt into the flour.
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate.
Stir until blended and remove from the heat.
In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter/chocolate with the sugar.
Add the lightly beaten eggs and vanilla and mix together well.
Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir until the flour is incorporated.
Evenly divide the batter into the 12 pop cavities.
Bake for 14-16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and immediately insert the cookie sticks.
Cool in the pop pan for five minutes then remove from the pan and cool completely on a cooling rack before decorating.
If using chocolate in blocks, chop the chocolate into small pieces before putting them to melt.
On low heat, Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler or in an electric chocolate melting pot. Stir occasionally.
Once melted, dip the top half of the chocolate pop into the melted chocolate then using a silicone baster or natural brush paint brush
1/2 to 1 inch wide, paint the chocolate onto the pop cover the bottom as well.
Sprinkle the skor pieces onto the chocolate before it hardens. Stand the pops upright while they are hardening.
We used a tall heavy coffee mug that was a good height to hold the brownie pop sticks.
Put into the freezer or refrigerator to speed up the hardening process.
Slice the brownie pops into 1/2 inch rounds. Assemble onto individual serving plates and serve with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
*Note: You could eat these as brownie skor pops on their sticks as well.
