Spicy Summer Cheese Dip
Sometimes you just want to indulge in a spicy and cheesy dip for an afternoon wine and cheese session. This delicious cheese dip recipe was introduced to Grandmother's Kitchen on one magical evening of socializing with the neighbors, Lynn & Dave from Toronto, Canada! 1/2 cup Duke’s mayo
4 oz of hot cherry peppers (pimentos)
Finely chopped jalapeño
1 tablespoon grated shallot/onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cup lightly packed coarsely shredded extra old yellow cheddar
1 1/2 cup lightly packed Monterey Jack with jalapeño
Several grinds of black pepper
In a medium bowl, whisk the mayo, pimentos, jalapeños, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, cayenne.
Mix with the cheeses with rubber spatula.
Transfer to covered container and refrigerate for several hours before serving to allow the flavours to meld.
