Baked Honey Mustard Drumsticks
This baked honey mustard drumsticks recipe produces a full-flavored meal in very little time. This flavor is due to the chicken pieces being marinated in a tasty mixture of mustard, lemon, and onion, but most importantly, honey. If you love easy recipes for drumsticks, try this honey mustard version for a sweet and savory version everyone will enjoy. There are many varieties of honey, and any kind could be used in this chicken recipe, and the chicken would still be successful. Honey is created when bees collect nectar and regurgitate their findings onto the walls of a hive, which becomes honeycomb. Since organic raw honey contains bacteria due to minimal processing, it is best to avoid serving it to those with compromised immune systems, however, the nutritional benefits of natural honey make it a better choice than pasteurized, because the pasteurized is processed with heat and deteriorates the nutrients. On the other hand, the unpasteurized honey is processed minimally, and the nutrients remain intact.

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup mustard
1/2 medium white onion, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon paprika
Wash the drumsticks and pat dry well with a paper towel.
Trim away extra skin and any loose bone pieces.
In a large bowl mix together honey, lemon juice, mustard, onion, salt, pepper, oil and paprika.
Place drumsticks in the bowl and coat well with marinade.
Transfer the mixture (with all the sauce) to 1 or 2 large Ziploc bags and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, turn once or twice to coat the chicken.
Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place a grilling rack on the sheet.
Grease the grill rack with some oil using a silicone pastry brush.
The rack helps the chicken to cook evenly, but you can cook without one as well.
Cook for 35 minutes or until the internal meat temperature reaches 185°F.
