Homemade Whipped Cream
Whipped cream is an essential when it comes to pies, fruit crisps or cobblers. Unfortunately, store-bought versions tend to be high in preservatives that many would prefer not to be consuming. This homemade whipped cream recipe gives you the option of enjoying natural foods with your desserts rather than a long list of preservatives. Whip cream ingredients include heavy cream, and sometimes sugar and vanilla. Heavy cream contains a thirty-five percent fat content, which is essential for whipping the cream to a stiff texture. Ten percent cream, otherwise known as table cream, won’t work in this real whipped cream because the fat content isn’t high enough. This cream recipe shows you how to make real whipped cream in just over ten minutes. If you have whipping cream on hand, you can prepare this homemade whipped cream recipe on very short notice, and it will be faster than going to the store. Just be careful of overmixing when making this real whipped cream, since this can cause the whey and fat to separate.
