Oh So Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Homemade cookies are just about one of the best things to bake and these Oh So Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies are the perfect cookies to bake. Enjoy making this chocolate chip cookies recipe in your own kitchen, a classic recipe from Grandmother's own collection of favourite recipes. Invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield, the chocolate chip cookie was not what Ruth expected it to be. She put in some chopped up pieces of a chocolate bar thinking that the chocolate would melt into the cookie dough when heated in the oven during the baking process. To her surprise, when she took her batches of cookies out of the oven, the chocolate didn't melt at all. It stayed in its chip form that she had cut it into. She still served up the cookies to people and they all loved them. Shortly after that, Hershey's bought the recipe from her to put on their bags of chocolate chips and the rest is history.***
