Double Chocolate Chip Cookie
Heavenly, gooey, irresistible Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. Doesn't everyone dream of them? This classic recipe for chewy chocolate cookies is made with not only chocolate chips, but cocoa powder as well. Since the chocolate chips will not melt as the cookie bakes, cocoa powder is a better option to add to the dough so that it mixes thoroughly into the recipe. These homemade cookies would be perfect to serve for any occasion, or make to give away to friends as a gift. You could even include the printed out recipe with the cookies so they could then make the cookies themselves. Everyone likes adding more yummy cookie recipes to their collection. This recipe makes about 24 cookies in total, but you can double it if you need more cookies. Enjoy at least one of the chewy chocolate cookies as soon as it comes out of the oven, let it cool a little bit, and then enjoy with a tall glass of milk or almond milk.***
Makes about 24 cookies

1 1/4 cups butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350F.
Line a couple of baking tray with parchment paper.
Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix till well incorporated. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt till well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough by a heaping teaspoon onto prepare baking tray. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are just a little but crispy.
