Here is a super simple and fun dish you can make that kids of all ages will enjoy! Even the kids at heart will love these Loaded Taco Tater Tots. Packed full of all of your favourite taco fillings like salsa, tomatoes, beef and of course cheese and sour cream on top. They are really easy and quick to make too and will probably be gone just as fast too! Tater tots are a kid favourite I think. They are just so convenient to pop in your mouth and enjoy like a mini hash brown, crispy on the outside and nice and moist and soft potato on the inside. These would be fun for a birthday party in place of nachos or fries! Get them some burgers and you're good to go for the party meal!

I have seen these tater tots done up like this in chain American Mexican restaurants like Taco Time or Taco Bell. They call them Mexi Fries, even though fries are not Mexican at all, its fun to have some fusion food. I have tried them and they are really good! I love that its basically like nachos but with fries. I like lots of flavour on potatoes so these would be right up my alley. This whole recipe only takes a matter of minutes to pull together and cool so if you had a bunch of hungry kids, you could totally count on this to feed them in good time.

Tater tots are basically just shredded up potatoes, so they would also be easy enough to make at home if you didn't want the processed ones. That was how they were originally made too, the makers wanted something to do with all the left over potato scraps, so this worked perfectly for not having any waste!
