Mexican Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
We are excited to share this recipe for Mexican Hot Fudge Pudding Cake. This dessert is very easy to make using basic ingredients. It is baked in a 9x9-inch baking dish, and it is the cinnamon and Mexican Chili powder that gives this cake its distinct flavors.
The recipe suggests the use of Saigon Cinnamon but says you can use regular cinnamon. What is the difference? There are in fact hundreds of types of cinnamons but four types that are primarily used. The four types of cinnamon are Cassia, Saigon and Ceylon and Korintje Cinnamons. Cassia cinnamon is most commonly used. Saigon cinnamon is spicier, strong and sweet. It is also more expensive than Cassia. The recipe also calls for a small amount of Mexican Chili Powder and chocolate so you can start to imagine well the burst of flavors you can expect to experience. Expect a cake with a fudgy sauce from its bottom. This is to be served freshly out of the oven when it is still warm, and ice cream is to be served with it.
Different nationalities offer exciting foods to tempt our pallets. Adding spice to sweet is becoming more popular as you even see chocolate bar companies such as Lindt, adding Chili, Wasabi and Sea Salt to their chocolate bars.
