Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Parmesan crusted pork chops will result in a moist and delicious meat that is easy to make and great to eat. Pork today is so lean that it can sometimes actually become dried out when it is cooked. That is why it is important to watch the internal temperature of this meat when you cook it. The temperature pork should reach to be cooked is 160F. By covering it with something, as in this recipe, with a Parmesan crust blend, the moisture is trapped inside the meat and it cooks up tender, sweet and delicious. This dish would be fabulous served with smashed potatoes and mushrooms, a mushroom gravy and fresh green beans. Yum. Yum.

Making wholesome meals is easy when you start with good recipes such as this one. The crust comes together in a few easy steps, then you pop the meat in the oven and leave it to cook. Don’t worry if the pork is not entirely brown when the thermometer says the chops are ready. Go by the temperature, not the visual experience. Historically, there used to be concern about cooking pork sufficiently, but that is not the case any more. Bring it to the temperature listed above, or check it out online for yourself, and you will have perfect pork every time. Pork is lovely against sweet relishes, often mint, but almost any other will work. Remember the Parmesan is a strong flavor and you don’t want to set it against something that doesn’t complement it as well as the pork.

Try this dish on a night when your family needs some stick to the ribs food for dinner. This great blend of cheese, meat (and potatoes, noodles or rice and some greens) will really hit the spot.
