Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake and Caramel Sauce

This Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake with Salted Caramel Sauce recipe is a wonderful combination of nuts, creamy cheese middle contrasted by a caramel that contains salt. The contrast of salt and sweet is fantastic, and if you have not tried it yet, it is time to make this cake for you and your family. This is a big cheesecake with a whopping 24 ounces of cream cheese to help make the middle as creamy and rich as it can be. Pumpkin puree brings plenty of flavors, not to mention loads of good nutrition and fiber. Together, the pumpkin and cheese pack this cake with goodness you can be happy to feed your family. Add eggs to the mix and now you also have lots of protein, calcium, and magnesium, too. So you can feel great about serving this dessert to your kids and the rest of the family.

This cake also contains pecans. Nuts are one of the best foods you could include in your diet to increase your consumption of potassium, magnesium, and calcium, to mention just a few of the nutrients that nuts give you. Also, nuts are loaded with good fats and plenty of protein. Pecans are a wonderful nut to use in sweet desserts. They are sweet themselves, and their bite is a bit more tender than most other nuts, so they go well in desserts.

There is sugar in this recipe, but far less than many. As well, there is plenty of good stuff in this cake including the cream cheese, nuts (pecans), and pumpkin puree, as well as eggs. So this cake might be one of the most nutritious you could choose to feed your family while giving them something they think is just yummy (which it is, of course). The salted caramel topping can be bought at your grocery store and drizzled on the top of this great cake. Serve with extra nuts.
