Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Swirl Frosting
Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Swirl Frosting are fun to make just so you can say the word, Snickerdoodle! This recipe is a load of fun, and although it might not be a recipe you can make with the kids, they will certainly be glad to share the outcome. This recipe shows you how to make Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Swirl Frosting and also mini snickerdoodle cookies. The cupcakes rise up nice and big, and soft and tender just the way this cookie recipe should, and the mini snickerdoodles tuck right in to the tons (!) of cinnamon swirl frosting that goes on top.
This is an easy recipe, but one that has a couple of steps. The cupcakes have a bit of a center swirl that forms part of the recipe, and that little helpers might be able to assist with, but there are also mini cookies that get made along with the cupcakes. Do not skip this step. Half the fun of this recipe is that it has a cupcake with middle fun, loads of great frosting, and also a cookie tucked in to it. That makes this recipe very special. As well, the frosting has both a vanilla and cinnamon part that gets swirled (thus the name) together and piped on to the cupcakes. All in all, a very fun and special dessert or snack for the kids. Older kids might like it, too, perhaps with a bit less frosting. That, of course, is always optional.
Make these Snickerdoodle Cupcakes with Cinnamon Swirl Frosting on a day when you have some time to spend on the extras that are part of the recipe. The characteristic of a snickerdoodle is of a big, tender, moist and delicious vanilla flavor, sometimes, as here, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. It is a great flavor and superb texture. Enjoy it soon.
