Spaghetti Confetti

Baked pasta dishes are perfect on cold days, piping hot from the oven and coated in cheese. This spaghetti confetti recipe features baked spaghetti with a tomato and meat sauce and a hint of chili powder. This dish is reminiscent of spaghetti Bolognese; only it is baked with a layer of cheese for an even heartier dish.

Ground meat recipes are excellent because ground beef is more economical than steaks or pork chops. This spaghetti recipe uses one and a half pounds of beef, so you could purchase an extra large package, divide it into freezer bags and store some for later use. This dish is weeknight worthy because it uses a store-bought tomato sauce to coat the spaghetti. If possible, consider purchasing organic tomato sauce for all your easy pasta meals. Tomatoes currently frequent the Dirty Dozen Lists for 2016, because they are commonly grown with the use of several pesticides so be sure to wash tomatoes before eating them in a solution of 10% vinegar to 90% water letting them soak for at least 15-20 minutes. Organic tomatoes and tomato sauce will allow you to enjoy your spaghetti without the addition of toxic substances in your food.
