The Best Dill Pickle Dip That is a Hit at all events...
Have you ever tried a dill pickle wraps with cream cheese and dried beef? If you have and you enjoy them, then this dill pickle dip will become your new favourite snack food. Usually, these wraps are made with some dried beef, plain cream cheese and some dill pickle chunks and then cut up into slices after the wrap is all rolled up. They are the perfect easy snacks for entertaining, and they are even one of the easy kid friendly recipes you could make for snack time. But many people don't feel like going to the trouble of making these wrap snacks, and they do take a bit of extra time to prepare. So instead, why not make a dip that some vegetables, chips, crackers or bread and be dipped into? It's a much easier option and easy is good when you have somewhere you need to be or kids that want a snack. All you need for this recipe is three ingredients, and a box of crackers or some bread to serve up with it. Just get some baby dill pickles, drain them and chop them up into smaller pieces and then take some dried beef and chop it up too. Then, you'll also need two bricks of cream cheese, and you'll simply add all of the ingredients together and mix them well with your mixer, either a hand held mixer or a stand up mixer.
It's as easy as that, and you have your dill pickle cheese and beef dip. Just put it in a nice serving bowl with some crackers, chips, veggies or bread on the side and leave it out to be devoured. If you're not sure what dried beef is, Michaela from An Affair From The Heart says that you can find it in the deli section in the fridge area. She uses the Hormel brand, and she really likes it, but you can use any brand you find. Some people use the dried beef in a jar and then just rinse the excess salt off of the meat because it tends to be very salty. You could also substitute any type of meat you like that you think would go well with cheese and pickles. Or you could leave the meat out for a vegetarian option. It's much like the beloved cheese and pickles on crackers snack except all in one easy to spread dip.
You can use any type of cream cheese you like too, but it may taste better with the full fat cream cheese as many recipes do. If you can, try and use cheese and meat that comes from organic, pasture raised animals since these animals are raised better than those on factory farms, and they're not given as many hormones and antibiotics. They are able to live as animals naturally do, grazing on grass instead of a feed and being out in the sun. If you're lactose intolerant or vegan, you can also try using Daiya which is a vegan cream cheese made with no dairy in it. Of course, it's not going to taste exactly like cream cheese, but it's pretty close. You can also find different imitation meat products that taste like meat, but no animals are used in the process. There are also recipes you can find online that show you how to make your own dairy free milks and cheeses using nuts and seeds so you can have a very healthy dairy free option. Enjoy this and other great recipes from An Affair From The Heart. Take this dip to the next gathering you attend and see how much people love it.***
