This recipe is one of the kind that can set your teeth on edge, if super sweet desserts are not some thing that you usually indulge in. Of course, for the kids that means these Triple Layer Fudge Mint Oreo Brownies are probably just barely sweet enough. So make this treat for them, and give it to them after dinner, if you do not want them climbing through the roof from a sugar spike in their blood stream! This dish makes the construction easy by using mostly commercial foods to pull it together.

The dish begins with a box brownie mix with a little more added to it to improve flavor and moistness. Marshmallow fluff is one of the ingredients drawn through the dish to help create a contrast in texture and flavor throughout. When done, more marshmallow and cookies as well as a rich icing are spread on top. When complete, you have a triple layer of fudge, mint and oreo cookies all mixed up and layered on top of a brownie mix. This is one treat the kids will truly love.

Oreos are one of the oldest cookies you can find in the USA. It has been produced in one form or another for more than 100 years, and it is still going strong. The cookie has transformed itself as awareness has grown about certain ingredients such as trans fat, and this cookie no longer has any trans fat in its recipe (and hasn’t since 2006). The Oreo has been produced as a specialty cookie for all kinds of contests and events held in the USA, and it is certainly viewed by many as a hallmark of America. And people around the world eat it, for its wonderful contrast of dark chocolate and vanilla filling. In this recipe, a mint oreo, one of the spin offs from the original, is used to create this recipe. And it is fabulous. Make this dessert for the kids.
